Tarbat Golf Club, founded nearly 100 years ago, is part of the beautiful seaside village of Portmahomack. A typical community 9 hole links course on a promontory close to Royal Dornoch and Tain - its Highland setting is very special with spectacular views.
The course is maintained throughout the year, and has a clubhouse and changing rooms. A testing course, few break par; with honesty box "pay before play" operation. No booking is required, but the course gives preference to members on Wednesday 10.00-12.00 noon and all Saturdays.
The village boasts the "best small restaurant" in the Highlands and two good hotels. For non-playing partners a visit to the Discovery Centre explaining the Dark Ages of the history of Scotland is a must.
