Spey Valley Golf Course opened during the spring of 2006 and will be one of Scotland’s newest championship golfing venues. This 18 hole layout measures a total of almost 7200 yards and features one of the longest par 5 holes in Scotland, which, from the back tees is a full 641 yards in length.
The course architect, Dave Thomas has been responsible for a large number of golf course designs throughout the world and believes that his latest design in the Highlands of Scotland could be one of the best yet. With the river Spey flowing alongside some of the undulating fairways, the silver birch lining the majority of holes and the Cairngorm Mountains as a backdrop it is easy to see why the course will prove to be a must play golfing venue for both the amateur and professional golfer alike and further strengthen this wonderful part of Scotland as a key golfing destination.
