Whisky & golf have been two of Scotland’s key ‘exports’ for centuries. In terms of international tourism there are the core markets such as the United States & Germany, growing markets such as Scandinavia, and emerging markets such as Russia & China. This event aims to increase awareness of these key products within the tourism sector in Moray/Speyside; to disseminate key information about whisky & golf tourism amongst the sector; and to help/encourage more companies to ‘internationalise’.
A potential key output will be to identify any further tourism opportunities for joint collaboration between whisky & golf. The key target audience for attending the event will be Speyside tourism businesses such as whisky distillery visitor centres, golf clubs/courses, tourist attractions, accommodation providers, restaurants, retailers, activity providers, tour guides, tour operators, transport providers, and supportive organisations such as VisitScotland, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Highland/Grampian/Moray Council, and Scottish Development International.
